CONCERTS!

Concerts are awesome. This is very important for every student and parent to understand. Concerts are fun, because you get to show off and be congratulated. You also, very often, get to eat cookies and pretzels and punch afterwards. Most importantly, concerts give you a lot of motivation to practice. You get motivated to practice before a concert because you want to do well, and you get motivated after a concert because you like the feeling of doing a great job and being rewarded.

If you're playing in a concert, tell all of your friends and get them to come! Students often play better when they feel like they have support, and it's also great to show your friends how talented you are. Aunts and uncles, grandparents, and family friends will also be very proud of you and happy to come hear you play!
