Welcome to the page for my studio at the Community Music School in Trappe, PA. The Community Music School ("CMS") also has a web site of its own which you should definitely check out: www.cmsmusic.org. It has lots of information about upcoming concerts and other events, as well as courses that you are not only allowed but encouraged to take! I am faculty at CMS, working as a Suzuki violin teacher alongside Belmary Lorcas. We have a ton of fun here, because we have a lot of awesome events every year, and a wonderful group of parents and students. The culture at CMS is very positive and family-oriented, and I truly enjoy every day here. One of the fundamental precepts of the Suzuki philosophy is that parents should be involved in every aspect of music lessons, which includes the private lesson, the group lesson, and home practice. To read more about the Suzuki Method, jump to the Suzuki Method page. Even if I am not your group class teacher, I expect all parents to attend the group and theory classes every week. Again, there are many classes and musical opportunities for you at CMS. This is the perfect school for you in many ways, because it is big enough to have many resources, and small enough to make things convenient. I encourage anyone who is interested to take classes in theory and history. There are also introductory classes offered for other instruments, and these are fun things to do - as long as they don't conflict with your violin lessons or violin practice! Also, please be open with me about any questions you might have! We're in the business of having fun here, so don't be shy about bringing anything up.
